Once you have chosen your real
estate agent you’ll need to know in which capacity they
work for you in your transaction. Your real estate agent does
a large amount of work on your behalf behind the scenes. Below
is a brief description of the tasks of your agent, some of which
will be described in greater detail further in our quest.
- Meet with you to determine your needs in
a home.
- Put a specific search in the computer for
you and provide you with all listing that are currently available
in your price range.
- Provide you with all new listings as they
become available on the MLS.
- Set up showings and take you out to view
properties.
- Contact all other agents on your behalf.
For example, For Sale By Owners or homes that you may have seen
in the newspaper or other real estate publications. Also, to
ask any questions you may have regarding the property.
- Your agent will write your purchase agreement
and negotiate your transaction.
- Advise and educate you about the current
Real Estate Market.
- Attend your property’s inspections.
- Negotiate any repairs that the property
may require.
- Keep your lender up to date with your purchase’s
progress and make sure they have all the paper work they need
to process your loan.
- Advise you when to purchase Home Owners
Insurance.
- Advise you when to call utility companies.
- Coordinate Closing times between you and
the seller.
- Attend your closing.
- Provide you with any after sale support
you may need.
